Dorman Wins Award for Signalling Innovation

Dorman was delighted to be presented with the Infrarail Best Innovation awards at the show dinner on Wednesday 14 April 2010..
The award was given for the Integrated Lightweight Signal which was unveiled by Dorman and demonstrated to visitors to the stand, creating the biggest talking point during the show. The signal was developed in response to Network Rail’s modular signalling challenge, but is also suited for inclusion across the network into existing and new signalling schemes.

Dorman Aims to Maintain Market Lead

2010 is already looking to be another year where Dorman LED products are the product of choice for customers in Rail, Road and Variable Messaging in both home and overseas markets.
Flexibility in meeting customer need was amply demonstrated in the run up to the Christmas Railway Engineering Period, when 98% of customer requests for accelerated delivery dates for products were met. This dramatic ramp up in production output, occurred alongside a surge in demand for LED Level Crossing products due to the start of a National Fitment Campaign which will see all level crossings in the UK converted to LED.
Unipart Rail & Dorman Win Bid for Network Rail LED Signal Supply

Unipart Rail & Dorman are to play an important role in the development of Britain’s rail infrastructure, after securing a three-year framework contract with Network Rail.
The contract to supply LED Signal Heads and LED Banner Signals builds on Dorman’s market-leading position in the innovation of LED signalling in the UK over the past decade.
